What is the Country Hills Ford Lifetime Engine Guarantee?
The Lifetime Engine Guarantee is complimentary coverage for eligible new Ford vehicles purchased or leased at Country Hills Ford in Calgary. It protects your engine for as long as you own the vehicle. As a result, you get long term peace of mind.
Which engine parts are covered?
The program covers the engine block if damaged from within and all internally lubricated parts. For example, it includes pistons, rings, connecting rods and bearings, crankshaft, camshaft and bearings, cam followers, timing chain or belt, timing gears and tensioners, timing covers and guides, water pump, oil pump and housing, harmonic balancer, and valve train parts. It also covers the diesel injection pump and diesel vacuum pump, plus related seals and gaskets. The flywheel is covered, but not the teeth.
Is the Lifetime Engine Guarantee free?
Yes. It is included at no extra cost with every eligible new vehicle purchase or lease at Country Hills Ford Calgary. Therefore, you do not pay a program fee.
How do I keep the coverage valid?
Follow the factory schedule at the Country Hills Ford Service Centre. In addition, complete these items on time and keep your records:
- Oil and filter change: every 8,000 km
- Tire rotation: every 8,000 km
If you move more than 500 km from Calgary, you may use any licensed repair facility. However, you must keep verifiable service receipts.

Is there a deductible?
Yes. A deductible of $200 plus GST applies per covered repair visit. This amount is due at the time of service.
Who is eligible?
Eligible new Ford vehicles purchased or leased at Country Hills Ford qualify. Commercial use vehicles and vehicles with aftermarket performance parts do not qualify. In addition, certain high performance engines and engines with more than eight cylinders may be excluded.
Is the coverage transferable if I sell the vehicle?
No. The Lifetime Engine Guarantee applies to the original owner only. It is not transferable to a new owner.
Are there limits of liability?
- Per repair visit: not to exceed the Canadian Black Book wholesale value of the vehicle at the time of repair
- Total aggregate benefit: up to $12,000 including taxes and fees

What vehicles or uses are not eligible?
Vehicles used for rental, taxi, limousine, courier, or delivery do not qualify. The same applies to towing or hauling outside factory limits, snow removal, job site activity, police or emergency use, driving school, or road repair operations. Racing or competitive driving is excluded. Off road or non public road use is excluded. Vehicles over 6,125 kg gross weight rating or vehicles registered outside Canada are also not eligible.
Does this cover systems beyond the engine?
No. This program focuses on engine protection. However, you can add Pre Paid Maintenance Plans and Extended Vehicle Service Contracts for transmission, electronics, and air conditioning.
How do I book required maintenance in Calgary?
